a Big Sunshine

about

This one has been compared to Phish (maybe because we jam?) I really like the scillinting effect that the opening and closing polyrhythms create.
You can observe us performing it here:

lyrics

As I walk down the street the flowers grow
And the people put on their shades
Or retreat indoors instead
And wait until the afternoon heat fades
The lizards all crawl onto rocks and everyone turns their heads
While I move through the day like a great big sunshine
*
And where are the children?
They’ve all run off to play god
And they’ll all sleep soundly through the night knowing
I’ll be back again like a great big sunshine
*
As I walk down the street the flowers wilt
And the people don their swimwear
They lay about in the afternoon haze
And drink lemonade on their lawn-chairs
The lizards all climb under rocks and everyone adjusts their gaze
While I cross the horizon like a great big sunshine
